ENGLISH
This is a literary festival that invites both national and international contemporary playwrights and dramatists to get involved. This is an event exclusively created towards the socialization of drama, because of its reach and value as one of the most dynamic literary arts. Thus, is geared to encourage the creation of dramatic pieces, containing contemporary subjects that would not only help in the dissemination and exchange of dramatic literature amongst participants, but enhance the knowledge between communities.

 EVENTS

"Open Drama": featuring dramatic reading of texts narrated by the authors. These will be presented in open spaces

"Drama In Situ”: part of the writing contest open to the public, whereby both, writers and non professional writers, will compose a dramatic play. Within two hours of the play’s composition, dramaturgical creations will be staged. These will subsequently be voted by a jury by using previously established guidelines

"Drama Daily": lecture series on topics of national and global contemporary drama;

"Paraules Mundi": featuring multilingual readings by national and international guest’s authors. The use of their own language and/or regional dialects on the presentation is purposely used to enhance the universality of dramatic works

"Incubator Dramatic": series of workshops to produce dramatic literature created by national and international guests

"On Stage": stage presentation of international or national plays authored by participating  guests.

The festival’s headquarters will be located in the cities of Quito (extended to Guayaquil, and Puyo).

This festival is aimed to promote involvement from all segments of society and ages, students of literature and related subjects, actors and actresses, professional and novice writers, and plain fans of the dramatic arts. The contribution and presence from low income and at risk areas/neighborhoods is especially encouraged.
